{"id":1506,"date":"2026-08-04T23:12:41","date_gmt":"2026-08-04T18:12:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sadaesach.com\/en\/?p=1506"},"modified":"2026-08-04T23:12:44","modified_gmt":"2026-08-04T18:12:44","slug":"planning-information-ministers-discuss-ptv-revamping-modernization-under-psdp","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sadaesach.com\/en\/planning-information-ministers-discuss-ptv-revamping-modernization-under-psdp\/","title":{"rendered":"Planning, Information ministers discuss PTV revamping, modernization under PSDP"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Professor Ahsan Iqbal and Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar held a detailed discussion on the revamping and modernization of Pakistan Television (PTV) under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the meeting, Ahsan Iqbal said the state broadcaster was a national asset that would be restored and equipped with modern facilities to strengthen its role in promoting national identity and unity, a news release by the Ministry of Planning said on Tuesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Attaullah Tarar said the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting required the support of the Ministry of Planning for implementing the PTV revamping project under the PSDP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said the development of local broadcasting infrastructure in Gilgit-Baltistan was indispensable for the live telecast of international sporting events, adding that, at present, Outside Broadcast (OB) vans had to be dispatched from Islamabad to cover such events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The information minister also stressed that upgrading PTV\u2019s Master Control Rooms (MCRs) in line with modern broadcasting requirements was an urgent necessity to improve the quality and efficiency of transmissions.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Professor Ahsan Iqbal and Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar held a detailed discussion on the revamping and modernization of Pakistan Television (PTV) under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP).
