Islamabad: A summary proposing the posting\/transfer of two Grade-20 officers of the Information Group has been received by the Prime Minister’s Secretariat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the summary, Muhammad Asim Khichi, who was recently posted as Managing Director Associated Press of Pakistan (APP), has been recommended for posting as Director General, Press Information Department (PID). Meanwhile, Abdul Akbar, currently serving as Joint Secretary (Media) at Prime Minister’s Secretariat, has been recommended for the post of Executive Director General, External Publicity Wing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Managing Director APP, Muhammad Asim Khichi during his tenure is said to have successfully led the organization, uncovered corruption scandals, and initiated strict action against officers and officials found responsible. His efforts were widely appreciated, and he reportedly faced significant pressure while pursuing accountability.
