ISLAMABAD: The Prime Minister\u2019s Fuel Relief Scheme has been launched in the federal capital, with subsidised petrol being supplied to eligible citizens at designated petrol pumps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja made a late-night surprise visit to various petrol pumps in Islamabad to review the implementation of the scheme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Secretary IT and senior officials of the Islamabad administration accompanied the minister during the visits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The minister interacted with citizens and inquired about the problems they faced during registration and while obtaining fuel relief.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She also briefed citizens on key aspects of the registration process and urged them to follow the prescribed procedure carefully to ensure successful registration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The minister clarified that citizens needed to register only once and there was no need to repeat the registration process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She advised eligible citizens to send \u201cTOK\u201d to 9771 before visiting a petrol pump to generate their fuel token.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The token should then be presented at the petrol pump to obtain petrol at the subsidised rate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The minister directed the administration to ensure uninterrupted provision of relief to all eligible registered citizens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She also ordered strict monitoring of petrol pumps and directed action against those found delaying or refusing to provide subsidised petrol to eligible beneficiaries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Citizens expressed satisfaction after receiving petrol under the scheme and thanked Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for providing relief amid rising fuel prices.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
